Should I upgrade to Lion?

I am new to buzztouch and app creation, so I haven't completed an app creation or published one, yet. I have Snow Leopard and xcode 4.1.02. Should I upgrade to Lion and the next xcode? I would like my first app creation experience to be the best, so I'd appreciate any feedback. :-)

it's ALWAYS the best idea to have the most updated versions of anything you can have (this also avoids any incompatibilities or bugs from older versions). go update both!

Actually @Alfrea, I believe that there have been some reported issues from buzzztouch users who have upgraded to Lion. I would advise not upgrading until we have had more time to look into and possibly fix any issues that we may find.

@Alfrea I tend to agree with Parker. As a beginner, I had sooo many coding errors on Xcode 4 so used Xcode 3 for my first app under Snow Leopard. Worked perfectly :)

@nschachter Not at all. If it meets your demands then I say go for it. I'm still learning so will stick to what's secure for me. I'm sure I will upgrade to Xcode4 and Lion when I'm more confident :D

@nschachter - I don't believe xcode v4.2 is even available yet. (Check the app store, but I think v4.1 is the latest release) If you were referring to version 4.0.2, then I can assure you that it works fine. I run it on my laptop and haven't had any issues.

@Parker Yes, it's available and necessary to run if you have iOS 5 installed like I do. Earlier I was still downloading xcode 4.2 and now it is running.. It doe's give me a few warnings however, it still works without any troubles.. app is being tested on iOS 5 with xcode 4.2 on Lion
