mp4 and .mov videos not playing on iOS simulator or iPhone

Hello! I made a .mov & .mp4 video on my MAC. Updated the app online with the name.xyz (I tried both), and dragged the video into xcode and the BT_video folder. I've tried both videos, in iphone & ipad simulator, and on my iphone, but I just get a blank screen with the correct colour background for the app but no sign of the video. This is the output from debugger console. I assume I've missed out something daft here. All help massively appreciated :) File size is 4MB. THANK YOU! What screen are you trying to view the videos with? Did you re-run the simulator after adding the files to your xcode project?

Ok, so it sounds to me as if you might be having a problem with the settings of your videos. On this page ( http://www.apple.com/iphone/specs.html ) look down at the settings specified under the section labeled TV and Video. Make sure that whatever software/converter you are using to create your videos can adhere to the specified settings.

Thanks! Found this: Video formats supported: H.264 video up to 720p, 30 frames per second, Main Profile level 3.1 with AAC-LC audio up to 160 Kbps, 48kHz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4, and .mov file formats; MPEG-4 video, up to 2.5 Mbps, 640 by 480 pixels, 30 frames per second, Simple Profile with AAC-LC audio up to 160 Kbps per channel, 48kHz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4, and .mov file formats; Motion JPEG (M-JPEG) up to 35 Mbps, 1280 by 720 pixels, 30 frames per second, audio in ulaw, PCM stereo audio in .avi file format I'm actually making the video on a mac (iMovie), so I've tried a fair few settings & exports to match the above, but no luck so far. If anyone exported a muvie out of imove and got it to play on iphone/ipad I'd be very grateful if you could pass on the export setting you used! THanks - a million! Elaine.

The other option that pop into my head right now are: 1. It seems silly, but double check that the naming of the files in your control panel exactly match the video file. Also ensure that there are no spaces or special characters (&%^$#@* etc.) in the file name. 2.After that, if the file is under 10mb you can send it to me (parker at buzztouch dot com) and ill play around with it to see if i can get it working.
