Bundle identifier

Have read and not understood, so asking for step by step instructions when i get this when trying to validate. Bundle identifier .comnceaphysicaleducation.com differs from reserved bundle identified: 680. Please help in real basic terms.

The app identifier should be the same in the iTunes iOS Provisioning Portal as it is in Xcode in the format: com.companyname.appname

Can you please explain that. I have gone in the portal and tried to do app id. Generating is an issue? Unsure why. So can you explain that whole process, and relate it to the validate process?

I have created the app id and have been looking at making sure that all matches. I think I am doing that right, have tried all sorts of things and still I get the message. Anybody??

@ jbreen: Explaining the whole-process is done at the Apple Developer site. If their detailed info doesn't help you understand how to create an App Id, maybe do a quick Google Search? For some folks it does get confusing...but...you'll get through it. It's a matter of working through the screens in the Apple Developer Portal then using the App Id you generate in your Xcode project.

I have done the whole app Id, but I still get the above message and have tried a varitey of ways to fix. Should I start the app again based on the app id I first make? As someone said in another post, Im sure its a simple change of the name somewhere, but not sure where?

Hopefully I can help as I had the same problem, but resolved it as David said, by doing a ton of reading at the Apple Dev Forums What version of XCode are you using?

Do you suggest reloading the app id?

@ jbreen unfortunately Im using XCode 3.2.6, but it might be the similar so here goes... 1. Left hand side, choose your project (blue square with A on it) 2. Expand the config' folder 3. Select 'nceaphysicaleducation-info.plist' 4 look at the box at the bottom of the SDK app you will see Bundle identifier 5. Click on '.comnceaphysicaleducation.com' and change it to '3T8USNQABK.com.nceaphysicaleducation.com' or whatever you have at the Apple Dev Portal 6. From the SDK menu, select Build / Clean All Targets 7. Then build and run it :) Worked for me. Hopefully you too Cheers Terry
