google news RSS problems

Hi I want to create an rss feed using a google news feed, this all works well if your search term is one word, however if your search term is more than one word, then this doesn't seem to work. For example, if I wanted a google news feed for the term Ford the rss would be feed://news.google.com/news?pz=1&cf=all&ned=uk&hl=en&q=ford&cf=all&output=rss If I wanted the rss feed for the term Ford Focus it would be feed://news.google.com/news?pz=1&cf=all&ned=uk&hl=en&q=ford+focus&cf=all&output=rss in the second example, the 2 words in the search term are separated by a + sign. The rss module in buzztouch doesn't seem to recognise a + sign and removes it, therefore the rss doesn't work, making it impossible to use a google news search for more than 1 word. Is there a way around this? is there anything else I can replace the + with? Any help would be appriciated as this has really hindered the plan I had for my app !!

I should have mentioned, I am using 1.5 under the Early Adopter program, so not sure if this is the same in 1.4

Hmm..this is a good point. When you save the URL in the control panel, then re-visit the page, are you saying the + is gone? If so, we'll need to look into it. The other approach, and probably a good test anyway, is to add the + into the URL after you download the project. Do this in the BT_config.txt file in Xcode. This would ensure that it actually worked in the project and that all that needs to be done is a control panel fix.

Hi David, thanks for the response. Yes you've understood me perfectly, the + disappears when I re-visit the page. I'll have al look at editing it in xCode and see how I get on. I will warn you that I am no programmer, hence the reason for using buzztouch. I must take the opportunity to thank Buzztouch for letting non-programmers with ideas like myself, the chance to create apps!

Hi again Sittngbourne (where that is!), thanks for the kudo's. I've already created an item on the to-do list and will look into the + issue as soon as we can. Re-post if you can't get the manual method to work.
