I Need Help With Images

My issue is with pictures and images. If I were to attach a PDF file or word file, my eclipse simulator will give me an error that I dont have PDF or Word installed on my phone. So I thought I would bypass that by using custom text. But when I copy and paste a word document into custom text, it wont display the image in the custom text box or on the simulator. The image options in the custom text by right clicking does not help at all. Does anyone have any ideas how to get images into my application. On a side note... does the error with the PDF and word mean the simulator itself does not have those installed or could it mean it won't work on any device?

Firstly, don't copy-n-paste MS Word content into the online editor (I think there's a note about thin on the editor?) it almost never works. PDF / Word: Your simulator will probably not display these file types but the device probably will. There is a small chance that an Android device 'out there' will not have a capable application installed to view Word or PDF Docs (Android does not support this natively) but I've only heard of this once in tends of thousands of instances. The device manufacture (HTC, Motorola, etc) install their own 'reader' technology for Word and PDF. This means it will be fine on the device. iOS does a much better job at this and handles it natively. Maybe Android will get there, not sure. If at all possilbe, use PDF instead of Word, it usually works better. I say this because MS Word allows users to do all sorts of styling and adjusting and formatting and no two ever seem to look the same when viewed in multiple device types. PDF seems much more reliable. HTML + images is the most reliable but does take some programming skill and a place to park your HTML files. Hope this helps.

Thank you for the help. Wish that was easy, but I have a device that does not allow third party applications yet. But I was looking at your iValley App in the android market. There are some biographical pages in it that do have pictures, are those the HTML+ images you are talking about?
