If you're pulling an HTML page that you don't control it's going to be tough - really tough. iOS tries it's best to figure out how to show the HTML page but poorly written (old usually) HTML with non-standard markup confuses iOS sometimes and it looks crappy. I can think of tons of mainstream sites that load very well in the small device and others that suck. Always a battle to balance good HTML markup with hundreds of devices. Almost everyone has gone to small and full versions of their sites these days for this exact reason - to make sure the mobile gadgets load mobilezed content.
