No, this is not normal. Do you have any details? If you want I can download the project and see what may be the trouble? I'll need your permission to do this. I have access to all the projects but cannot download and test them without your approval. hard to say what's going on but for sure it's not good if it's crashing.

I guess we learn something new everyday. Aparently this is a common confusing point and is exepcted behavior when running the app in Xcode. This is a good reference: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/6566799/program-recieved-signal-sigkill-exception-comes-up-when-i-quit-in-the-multitaskin But, what I don't understand is how come none of the other installed apps on the simulator (native apps) don't behave way. Intereestingly, if you launch the app in the sim, do what you explain and tap the home button to show the home screen. Double tap the home button to show the task bar and remove the app from the task bar...so far so good... have a look at the bottom of the Xcode 4 window when you re-launch the app (it won't launch because we killed it)....the little 'pause' button will turn into a 'play' button. Tapping play will resume running the app. This does make sense and the forum post (the URL I posted) does help understand this. I tested on the device and it's fine so no worries. If I figure out why the native apps don't behave the same way on the sim I'll let you know. In the meantime, I guess just try to get your head around the idea of foreground apps, background apps, task bar and pausing / starting running apps.
