Need to reduce The image title bar height in image gallery

Hi all I want to reduce the height of the title bar in an image gallery. I cant see an attribute for this object that will set the height of the title bar in the gallery or the page attributes. I believe it may be a set attribute in a slower level code set but I don't know where to find it? The problem is the title bar is touching the product photo whether I place it on top or below the page. I don't what to reduce the photo height too much to move it away from the title bar so any help would be appreciated. I am developing iOS 4.3 on Mac and XCODE. Thanks Tony

I don't believe you can adjust the size of a Navigation Bar. But I could be wrong. Why not just make the image the size of the remaining screen? or make the Navigation bar translucent.

Thanks for the reply - yes I did note the resize as an option but I wanted a quicker fix for the 20 odd pics I need to resize! thanks anyway - it might be good to see if there is an option for those that want to maximise the photo real estate on the screen and still maintain the image title bar (not the nav bar)

I do not think resizing the images manually will help much. The imageView itself needs to be resized, the image you load will fit to any size you make the imageView....

@ primedev: Not sure if you're asking about the nativagion bar on top, with the back button, or the title band that holds a possible image description? Start at BT_screen_images.m: The navigation bar is created in the viewWillAppear method and triggers a method in the BT_viewUtilities.m class file that is located in the BT_Layout folder. Open BT_viewUtilities.m file and have a look at the configureBackgroundAndNavBar method. Be careful, this method builds the title bar for every screen in your project so tinkering with it should done with great care. Also, Apple freaks out if their native navigation bar is funky or sized different than all the other apps on the device so keep this in mind when adjusting things. The title band that holds a possible image description is setup in BT_screen_images.m on line 44. It's currently set to 44 pixels high. There is a label that holds the text that is also 44 pixels high. So two places to adjust this if you want.

Thanks David I appreciate the quick response! I was referring to the title band that holds the image title. I will keep this mind for future reference.

I don't know what to do about this. Amazon says that my Title Changes. Dear Helen, Your recent submission is pending due to the following reason(s): Device : Motorola Droid,2.2 Application's name is changed after installation. Steps : 1. Download and install the application. Observe that, Application's name is changed after installation. Please correct the issue(s) we found with your app submission. When completed, go to the Amazon Appstore Developer Portal to re-submit your application. Does anyone know what I need to do to correct this? Using Version 1.4 to build my Android app. Thanks,
