thumbnail problem

Is anyone else having this problem? When I click on one of my buttons and then go back to the previous screen. All the thumbnails become the same....

Seems to only do it with the thumbnails I use from Youtube.

Havn't heard of this one? What type of screen do you have the thumbnails on? RSS? Menu List? Button Screen? If you post the app name I'll glady download it and compile it and see what it does on this end. I'll need your permission to do this. I have access to all the projects but cannot download unless you post something like: 'it's OK for buzztouch to download my app for testing'

yea 'it's OK for buzztouch to download my app for testing' It's on a button screen. Also is there a way to have the audio play when leaving the screen, but have it stop if another audio file starts? I would love to keep the audio on when leaving the screen but then multiple streams at the same time.

Hi Again: Cool App! Two things... a) The buttons. Figured it out! Crazy for sure but after sluething around it makes perfect sense. Here's the deal. When you use a URL for an image the app downloads and saves the image the first time it needs it. This approach allows it to load much faster after the first time. When it saves the image, it uses the file name of the image itself. For example, this image: http://i4.ytimg.com/vi/oLmKred1b34/default.jpg would be saved in the app's cache as 'default.jpg' - the images file name. So far so good. The problem is, many of your image URL's use the same file name. http://i3.ytimg.com/vi/VYq5i_AFmq8/default.jpg AND http://i4.ytimg.com/vi/oLmKred1b34/default.jpg are both called 'default.jpg' so the device is using the cached version of the first one it downloads everytime. Kinda funny actually, never seen this before. The fix will be to use images that have different names. Different url's are not enough, the file names must be different. b) Audio: Audio playback control in iOS is super-duper-easy when you have one audio file. But, it gets super-duper-complicated when you have multiple files. Consider this: A game may want to play several sounds at the same time while a music app probaly only wants to play one at a time. The good news is, iOS allows for lots of flexibility in this area. The bad news, it gets very complicated to try to work out how it all works together, especially for a non-programmer. The part of iOS that controlls this is called Audio Session Services. You can find reference to it here: http://developer.apple.com/library/ios/#documentation/AudioToolbox/Reference/AudioSessionServicesReference/Reference/reference.html There are some limitations to how the buzztouch control panel allows you to setup audio. Stopping audio on screen exit is a good aproach for some apps, but not for all, as you're finding. It's hard to say what the best advise here is but at minimum you should review the docs at that URL to get an idea of how it can be configured. Re-post if you get totally lost and I'll do my best to guide you through some customizations. It will be nerdie and complex to make the necessary changes to support what your asking about but if you're up for it...I'm willing to try to help get you through it.

Makes sense, I will have to download them and save them separately.

Maybe just toss them on a drop-box? Or, if you're downloading them anyway, dragging them into Xcode instead of using URL's will work too.

That worked like a charm, also have you ever seen the fanwall? like what the mobileroadie apps have? I have been looking for the best way to implement something where all of my fans and leave a comment by either signing into their fb or twitter... or even now google+.... I love the quiz option in here btw, I will be running tons of contests with that... And how long until 1.5 Android?

Android v1.5 is taking WAY longer than we hoped. Literally months and months behind. We had no idea that the traffic and support and volume would explode like it did and as such have had a very rough time getting it (and other things) completed. There is no release date set for Android. Fan Wall: havn't seen Mobile Rhodie's implementation. Can you just show a mobile version of your FB page? Not sure, or Twitter? May be the easiest way to get you going then plan to get fancier later? Not sure really how to best manage fans.
