Scroll setting not working?

I've tried multiple times, if I set the scroll setting to 'no, enable scrolling' under theme settings, it will revert to 'yes, prevent scrolling'. Is this a bug?

Are you setting the theme setting, or the setting on the particular screen you're working in? Remembering to save right? If you are changing the setting on the actual screen settings and remembering to save, then let me know which app and what screen are giving you the problem and I'll check it out.

I'm setting the theme setting - not a particular screen. Only difference between my 2 apps that work and don't; one of my theme's name is changed and the other is left at default(My Generic Theme, I guess.). app: iPES 2012

Be sure to check that the scroll settings on the particular screen aren't set to something different than your theme scroll settings. The settings on any individual screen override theme settings. So if this particular screen is set to disable scroll and the theme is set to enable scroll, the screen will not scroll. Check that out and get back to us.

They are set at default. If I set the scroll setting to 'no, enable scrolling' under theme(general) settings, it will revert to 'yes, prevent scrolling' when I click save...

This is an interesting find: Ninjaselo's helped again - awesome!!! So, as it turns out, the Global Theme screen in the control panel had two Prevent Scrolling select lists. One for the list type menu and one for the button type menu. This is the only screen in the entire control panel where both these options are showing. Both of the HTML form elements (the select lists) where named the same thing: 'preventAllScrolling' and because they had the same name, they were conflicting and the backend was not saving either one. As a work-around (it's added to the list) the Prevent All Scrolling options for the button menu has been removed from the Global Theme setting. It could easily have been the other way, we could have removed it from the List Menu setting instead of the button settings, just chose one. This means is will 'save' the choice in the global theme for the list menus but not the button menus until we update the control panel code. To prevent a button menu from scrolling the advanced settings for a button screen will still show the prevent scrolling option.

You're not kicked out yet ;-) Do you have a DropBox account? If so, maybe plop a v1.5 config. file on a DropBox and see if your app speeds up? Just an idea to see how it works. You'de be helping us too. I don't have DropBox account and have way to much to do to think about yet another thing on the list. But, if it works, it could help a ton of folks? The idea...use DropBox to hold your config data file, use the control panel to make changes the update the file. If you feel like tinkering with this, go for it and post the results. We'de be happy to give a shout-out and a thanks if it works and get something documented for the audience? Just a thought.

I've placed my config file on my dropbox account. I can say it's pretty fast. But can you(or someone else) test if it's working rigth? App's name's MW3 Intel and it's free on App Store! It also got 19000+ downloads in 20 days, thank you again buzztouch&David :)

Whatever you say BOSS :) As I've caught you here, one important question, when (or will) the forums structure change. 2 main categories, iOS and Android would be very cool. And child categories like, BT wishlist(features that users like to see in the future), BT upcoming features(or in the works), bug & errors, Success stories, Show your app... would be very cool and helpfullll...

The 'help' button in top right will load more of a menu with things like you're mentioning...not just a list of questions. It's also important to be able to identify your questions and comments from all the others. Gonna have a mutiny soon if we don't get this done and the Android v1.5 too, geez...Hard to imagine how much there would be to do when we came up with this. LOL. It's getting better, slowly, but better. I like the idea of the success stories and show your apps...added to the list already. The time consuming part is organizing all the posts into iOS and Android. Almost done.
