Splash Screen - Cannot Get it Working

I have entered the splash screen url image into the buzztouch project - downloaded the source code and opened it up in xcode, built and run it fine - but the splash screen does not appear. What am I missing - could someone please assist? Thanks

Hi @thumper...you need to make sure you drag your splash screen image into the BT_Images folder in your Xcode project...not the source code folder itself, but into the project in Xcode. It will ask if you want to copy it...say yes, recompile, and you should be good!

Good tip @GoNorthWest: But, if a URL is used for the image, and not a file name, the image does not need to be added to the project (it's online so the app will download and save it). It sounds to me like @thumber needs to add the Splash Screen to the Global Theme. Splash screens are built like other screens but will not be 'displayed' unless they are added to the app's global theme.

My bad! I missed the url part of his comment..just focused on the word image. Should take more time to read completely! ;-) Mark

I wanted to bring this to light as I had this issue and couldn't find it in the forum. I created my 1.5 app with a splash screen. The splash screen appeared, however for some reason it was looping. Splash screen would show up, it would go away and load my 5 tab Layout. Then it loaded the splash screen again and the loop was endless. I saw the comment from David above and realized I failed to specify the Splash Screen in the Global Theme. After that was set, my app is now legit.

@Kulahblind: good post, thanks. I've not heard of the looping issue before. If you get a change, maybe add some details about how you had it configured (have some from your previous post) so I can learn more. Not sure how you magically created the looping effect. Funny.
