Can I implement push messages while developing and which service is the best?

Can I implement push messages while developing the app, before submitting to itunes? And I want to know which services have you used with a buzztouch app(appoxee, xtify, urban airship...), and which was better or easier to work with. @Everest11, I think you can help me if I'm stuck. I've tried appoxxe one time, got the envelope icon, copy&pasted the necessary codes(I hope) but in the appoxee control panel there were 4 registered devices-there had to be one(mine only), there were no push enabled devices and I've never succeeded getting the test messages that I've tried to send.

Hi, Ninjaselo, sounds like your appoxee problem was with your certificates, i had to redo mine a couple times to get it right, and delete profiles from device as well

Hey Ninjaselo, it is definitely a little tricky (and frustrating) the first time around especially with the certificates. As Ian says, if you are not getting your messages it is most likely a certificate issue. Appoxee is the most user friendly while Urban Airship would be my main choice for non BuzzTouch apps since I can integrate both Push Notifications and In App Purchase at the same time using their library.

Thank you both. I will try appoxee again. Will ask for your help if I'm stuck though. Can I implement after submitting but before releasing only? Or can I try on an app which isn't submitted yet?

The code needs to be implemented before you submit. For any apps you have already submitted & in the store you would need to do an update which should not take too long to go through.

One more question, can I test before I submit?
