Problems building for App Store release

Hi I am new to this, so I apologise if this is a basic question I have downloaded the source code, applied the base SDK settings as guided here in the forums. I have also setup my Apple developer account, got myself a signed certificate and appled it to the project - this applied to both the debug and release comfigurations. When I compile the application is builds successfully with 3 project warnings about deprecated codes lines. In the simulator however all is working correctly. So i want to Build for release. Therefore i am using Product > Build for running but the life of meicannot find the production .app file. I have never worked with xCode before so maybe my process is wrong. Does anybody have any tips or resources to aid me getting my app built for release and ultimately submitted to the app store? Any help is greatly appreciated. Kind regards Giles

I'm new at this but I think you'll need to create a profile 'Distribution' and code sign it with your distribution certificate (not the developer or ad hoc one) from Apple. Once you have built for this profile look for the App in the product folder -> Right click -> show in finder See this image https://skitch.com/ictguy/fjbiu/project-navigator-contextual-menu I hope this helps you a little further along.
