Getting ready to submit iOS app

I was looking over some of the things I need for the submission of my app to the app store and one of them was a copyright. Do I have to copyright my app before I am able to submit it? (I'm such a n00b)

About copyright: it does not have to be registered like a trademark or servicemark. Copyright exists the moment something is created. If the material in the app contain copyrighted contet you should have the rights to use it. If its material you control/created yourself you have the copyright. That being said, don't post apps that include copyrighted material that you dont have rights to use.

Yes, If you have original work that you want to protect. I did it for my application and game art. www.pocketwars.com. Online registration for a basic claim with original work is $35. Once you complete the form. they may have questions and help you with how you should file a claim. They were very helpful. www.copyright.gov/
