IT help. Connectivity issue

Intermittent problem: I have a Windows 7 PC and iMac both connected via ethernet to a Liksys WRT400N router, to a Ubee cable modem with 25MB service. Speedtest confirms throughput and not an excessive amount of hops. Relatively often I cannot get through to Buzztouch on my iMac. When I cannot on the iMac I have no problem on the PC. Remember both are wired-only through the same router. I've updated the firmware on the router, IP release and renew. Checked all the DHCP settings. Even swapped the ethernet cables on the router. Sometimes there is no problem, but sometimes, like right now, I have instant access on the PC, and there is a two to three minute lag where I get nothing before a requested page pops up. And it does pop up when it finally comes. Tried searching for some issue between Mac and that router but haven't found anything. Of course it gets worse when I really NEED it to work well. David said there was no way my Mac could be hitting a firewall or filter on their end, already asked. Help. Tim Wolf

One more thing to note. Buzztouch is the only site I can find that I have this problem with. When the iMac isn't connecting to buzztouch I have normal service to every other site I've tried. Tim Wolf

What browser are you using? I recall someone else describing a similar issue. Try an alternative browser before ripping your hair out.

Safari. Is there another browser for Mac?

Try FireFox first, then Chrome. But you might see a resolution with FF, I think.

Same problem with Firefox. I have to believe that somehow the machine is getting blocked. I don't know quite enough about IT to understand how this is possible. Actually, I don't really care, I just want to do something to prevent it. Any ideas? Change my MAC address? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?
