Streaming Audio MP3

Hi to all, Is a streaming Audio a normal mp3 file that I upload on my website? Or does I need a special software to convert the mp3 in a streaming mp3 Thanks,

A normal .mp3 file uploaded to your website is fine.

if you have any problems, what I've found is the most sure-fire method is to upload the .mp3 to mediafire under an obscure name jfhdjl.mp3 so you know the name but it's not like someone would search it, then link that for audio streaming

I did something similar on my app: http://itunes.apple.com/ca/app/amazing/id438735841?mt=8 it's got 45+ mp3 snippets on the app (15 seconds each)

Just be aware: Shoutcast™ and other streaming services will not work on the streaming audio screen. This screen expects to play a FILE included in your Xcode project or a FILE located on your webserver. Try a Custom URL screen to play other online content - some will work, some will not. Does linking to the mp3 via mediafire work without a problem?
