Is this feature coming?

Hi David, On this topic: http://www.buzztouch.com/forum/thread.php?tid=59E8536DF7A006A9F7E9DA2&status=&searchInput=disconnect&sortColumn=FT.dateStampUTC&sortUpDown=DESC¤tPage=1&doViews=1 You said 'Long term we hope to make this much much easier and offer you a package to download that would be designed to put on your site to power your app. This package would magically talk to the buzztouch backend on an as-needed basis. 1) Get the app on your phone. 2) get this folder of goodness on your site. 3) Use the control panel at buzztouch to tinker without worrying about the 'published' results until you're ready to release to the public.' Is this feature in the works? Will we be able to see this in near future? Thanx.

And the reason I'm asking this is that some customers say that there are too much 'screen not found' messages in my app, and I think(may be wrong) that it because of the server load on your side.

We have the server load issue resolved now. The only time it could have been a problem for the end user was when the app was being refreshed. Assuming you are using a v1.5 app, our backend shouldn't affect individual screens on your app. Your config file on your app will either be looking for files within the app itself (dragged into the xcode/eclipse project), or at a URL online somewhere. Double check to see that all of your files that are supposed to be included with the app were added to the xcode project successfully and are named and referenced properly. Double check that the URLs you linked to still exist online, and are linked properly. Also, keep in mind that if a page using a URL link fails to load it could be because the phone had a bad/slow internet connection, or the server hosting linked files is experiencing problems. We don't have any set dates for feature releases. Right now David is working away at v1.5 for Android. I'm assuming he wants to get that finished up before we start adding extra features. But, if he mentioned wanting do add a feature it will eventually be done. Once we get v1.5 for Android out of the way we should have a better idea of our schedule for other feature releases. ...and no we can't tell you when v1.5 will be finished. It'll be done when it's done. ;)

Hi Guys.. The idea was to offer a few scripts to allow folks to plop on their servers to power their own backends. This is still an active idea. The documentation for v1.5 that was released yesterday was a necessary first step. Without docs...everything is far more complicated. @Ninjaselo: I think you'll be best just parking your BT_appConfig.txt file on your server and updating it if you make changes to your control panel in buzztouch. See the newly released docs and re-post if that doesn't make sense. And, yes, we'll get a buzztouch Server packaged released eventually like Parker mentioned.
