Quiz Error

Im using 1.4 Android Windows 7 This is the error code my users have been reporting, hopefully someone can help. May have to do with all the Java errors on Eclipse but no one on here has been able to figure out what the problem is java.lang.IndexOutOfBoundsException: Invalid index 10, size is 10 at java.util.ArrayList.throwIndexOutOfBoundsException(ArrayList.java:257) at java.util.ArrayList.get(ArrayList.java:311) at com.v1_4.B60E6D01565D444A597A8FCB.com.Screen_QuizMultipleChoice.answerClick(Screen_QuizMultipleChoice.java:312) at com.v1_4.B60E6D01565D444A597A8FCB.com.Screen_QuizMultipleChoice$8.onClick(Screen_QuizMultipleChoice.java:160) at android.view.View.performClick(View.java:2408) at android.view.View$PerformClick.run(View.java:8818) at android.os.Handler.handleCallback(Handler.java:587) at android.os.Handler.dispatchMessage(Handler.java:92) at android.os.Looper.loop(Looper.java:143) at android.app.ActivityThread.main(ActivityThread.java:4717) at java.lang.reflect.Method.invokeNative(Native Method) at java.lang.reflect.Method.invoke(Method.java:521) at com.android.internal.os.ZygoteInit$MethodAndArgsCaller.run(ZygoteInit.java:868) at com.android.internal.os.ZygoteInit.main(ZygoteInit.java:626) at dalvik.system.NativeStart.main(Native Method) Hopefully I can get this fixed soon, Thanks :)

Yes, I've got loads of yellow triangles with exclamation marks. Too many to list. I was told by my friend (A Ruby on Rails Dev) that they are minor issues and if they were important the app wouldn't compile... Just out of curiosity, do your quiz scores work ok, or are they like in my post above?

I'm wondering if it's the quiz score bug that's causing the stack trace errors? I only get the occasional error messages in my google dashboard, despite the quiz being used a lot, so perhaps only some people are triggering the score bug???? I wish code didn't look to me like the scribblings of a lunatic...

Hi @fusionmtx and @raveyd. I think we have two different issues going on here. 1, the yellow warnings in Eclipse. 2, the issues with the 'quiz questions out of bounds' error. Staring with 2... @fusionmtx: This error 'at java.util.ArrayList.throwIndexOutOfBoundsException(ArrayList.java:257)' source-code to english translation... 'yo, you've asked me to get the next question in the list of questions but the list isn't long enough.' I'm thinking the outOfBoundsException means that the code is looking for, say, question number 19 but the list of questions isn't that long. Hmm. I wonder if this only happens on the last question of the quiz? Could it be happening after a certain number of question are answered correctly? In other words, is there any way to re-produce the trouble consistently so it can be de-bugged? Another idea..lets say you have a quiz with 10 questions. you could add a few more questions to the list (making it plenty long enough) but then set the number of questions to a few less than the size of this list. This would not be ideal but could help isolate the problem? @raveyd: Yellow warnings in Eclipse. I would agree with your friend that they are not critical message. However, you don't want them. It's hard to write/see good code when Eclipse seems to think everything is screwed up. The yellow triangles do server a purpose and do offer good clues when it thinks something isn't quite right. Thousands of folks (like me) don't see these warnings (see the videos in your control panel...no warnings eh'). I wonder what Eclipse is warning you about? Could you hover over one of the messages and post the text. I'll bet it's looking for a something it can't find. We should work towards getting your Eclipse environment happy else this is going to drive you crazy! LOL

The majority of the messages state: 'The static field AppDelegate.currentApp should be accessed in a static way' or AppDelegate_currentDevice. Basically, every error I've looked at so far says 'something' should be accessed in a static way... All the errors are there straight away, like in a brand new untouched project.
