Every time my app tries to view a URL as a webpage, it hangs up trying to load, and I can't stop it or make it go back or anything. I can see the twitter page loaded behing the spinning circle of death too, which makes it even more frustrating. It's the mobile page version of a twitter page. Android, v1.4

Hi This looks like a general Twitter issue that I think the Buzztouch crew are investigating... You are not alone!

The Twitter issue we've been looking into does not relate to loading a web-page using the Custom URL feature. If a Custom URL screen is not loading..something else is the cause. @pandafloski: What URL are you trying to load? What's the app name and the screen you're working with? We'll get look.

@ pandafloski: Try this to help us isolate this (URL's should load). Launch the Android emulator and start your app. Does the Twitter URL load in the emulator? We're trying to isolate if it's on some devices and not on the emulator. I can get my emulator, and device to load the URL without any trouble. I'm not testing your app, just a bogus test app I use. Re-post your findings after running the emulator.

Doesn't load on my emulator either, although I do get a different loading screen. On the phone I can see the actual page loaded behind the spinning wheel. On the emulator all I see is just the twitter page loading itself with its own spinning wheel of death. The emulator is running Android 2.3.3, and the phone is a Nexus S 4G running on 2.3.4 with CM7

Hi, i have exactly the same problem with a facebook page! The loading hangs up on the phone AND on the emulator... How to fix this problem?

Did anyone ever resolve this problem? I am still having problems with this too. Url loads but then hangs there. I can see webpage but that dreaded circle keeps spinning and spinning and spinning!!
