Add photo to text page

How do you add a photo to a text page or html page?

Have you got your app and running? Used the custom HTML pages? What error or problem are you running into. Assume you are using v1.4 for iOS?

w3schools.com has a lot of helpful information on how to create HTML pages, etc. Check this out: http://www.w3schools.com/html/html_images.asp

It looks like html is the only way to do this, correct? It also looks like v1.5 is out… Thanks for the link Parker.

The question mark indicates that the app was expecting to find an image but couldn't. Generally the fix is an easy one. Double check for any typos in the image name or url link. Also be sure to use either .png or .jpg format images. After checking both of those things repost if you're still having issues.

Yes I know, but I would like a more detailed explanation of why it can't be found. It can't be a typo, because I copied and pasted the image source code from a website that works. So maybe html works differently in buzztouch? Maybe the name of the photo is limited to a certain number of characters? Maybe you cannot use capital letters in the route? or dashes? Why does it work in my website but not in buzztouch? The font choice and paragraph returns also do not work. There must be more to html that I need to know about that Dreamweaver and html learning sites don't tell you about.

Okay, got it to work. I retyped it letter by letter. Here is a sample code in case anyone needs it: <body> <img src=http://www.myownwebsitesomewhere.com/Photos/Photos11/MY-PHOTO-500-W.jpg alt=''This placeholder describes a photo'' width=300 height=169 /> <p> Description, description, bla bla bla.</p> </body>

So it works now? ...and all you did was retype the original HTML? Sounds as if something funny was happening during the copy and paste process. This can happen when copying from a word doc etc. Sometimes it picks up things that aren't visible like formatting marks that screw up the whole thing. Strange that you had a similar problem copying the source directly. Also, capital letters and hyphens should be fine to use in image names or URLs. You will however experience problems if names have spaces or other special characters in them that can be mistaken as part of the markup language.
