Three questions from a newb.

So I have my app started and I have gone back and fourth through menus but I am having trouble making three things work. The first thing is that I would like this app to function from the lock screen. I am having trouble finding the insert for this. On top of that I dont want the normal app button you would use from the app menu to be the button you see from the lock screen. I know this is advanced but any help at all would be great. The second thing I am having problems with is that this software allows me to make a call us button where I pre-determine a phone number. I want to determine the name, but then link the number to a contact. So its close to the same idea. I would enter the name of the caller. But the user would select a contact in its place. So a pre-determined name with a user chosen contact as the phone number. The third thing I am trying to do is is create a button that links you to a page of information. I want the user to go to a settings menu and in that menu you enter information under 5 subjects. Once they enter that information its locked in. Now I found the button that lets you link to a word document, or to a pdf. But I want this to be in program. Basically once you start the app up from the lock screen, you have the option to push this button and brings up a screen with information on it.

1) Would require extra coding- I don't believe it is inbuilt into BuzzTouch. 2) No, don't think that is possible yet either.... 3) Don't believe this is possible with BT either. You're best to ask one of the coding experts on this forum. Maybe embed a javascript form? Oh, and I'm assuming you are talking about for Android?

Yes its for android. I wasn't able to build the javascript form I wanted to work yet. The issue I had with that was that it didn't lock in. You could change the form any time you clicked on it. I wanted the text input locked in from the settings menu. That way if you accessed it under normal circumstances you couldn't change any information on it, but only change information from the settings menu.

I see... Are you an experienced coder? If you aren't, I think you'll need to either search for tutorials, or find someone who specialises in what you need to do. You should also note that you need a custom launcher for android if you want to run an application on your lock screen- a lot of people don't have custom launchers. Hope you manage to pull it off!

I have seen a couple of programs that manage to implement things like email from the lock screen without a custom launcher. I was hoping someone knew how this was made possible lol. I havn't coded in almost 10 years. The last thing I wrote code for was a video game called Tribes if that throws any memories. I used to be a mod developer for computer games. So it has literally been 10 years since I tried to do anything code wise, or since I have tried to create any java aps. Even still when I did create them it was in a software based program much like this, at least the java was. The gaming mods were done by hand.

Ah! I write a few game mods now and then. Anyway, it might be able to be done, I'm not sure. In my experience, it requires a custom launcher or a rooted phone to run apps off the lock screen. Anyway, good luck with your endeavours!

Thanks for your help, hopefully someone knows how to push this to the unlock screen.
