How in the HECK do you navigate Eclipse??

Something keeps going wrong whenever I try to open my android app, says an API doesn't work. I'd post the exact issue, but I can't make it happen again because when I try to open it, it says it can't because it overlaps with another project of the same thing, YET I CAN'T FIND ANYWHERE IT KEEPS THIS. It's really frustrating me, and I was hoping someone could help me

(Update): I get these lines: [2011-06-23 02:22:43 - com.android.ide.eclipse.adt.internal.project.AndroidManifestHelper] Unable to read /Applications/Android SDK/AndroidManifest.xml: java.io.FileNotFoundException: /Applications/Android SDK/AndroidManifest.xml (No such file or directory) [2011-06-23 02:22:44 - com.android.ide.eclipse.adt.internal.project.AndroidManifestHelper] Unable to read /Applications/Android SDK/AndroidManifest.xml: java.io.FileNotFoundException: /Applications/Android SDK/AndroidManifest.xml (No such file or directory) [2011-06-23 02:23:14 - Pandapp] Unable to resolve target 'Google Inc.:Google APIs:4' Had to name my app something different in order to trick it into thinking it was something different, still don't know where the files are that it's saying it's conflicting with, and neither does Spotlight apparently. Can't run the app because it says it has errors I need to fix first, but of course I have no idea where to start on fixing these errors? (Update 2) Fixed the API issue, however, still get the first two lines, and nothing is compiling from what I can see. It says it's building it when I first open it, aaaaaand then nothing happens.

Hey i got a solution for your problem. The zip file you downloaded from buzztouch, you unzipped it into a folder on your pc. Its the same folder you point eclipse to, to load your app you made on buzztouch. In the main folder of that downloaded file, there is file named AndroidManifest.xml. Right click on that file and click copy and then go to the folder on your pc (default install location is - c:\Android) or wherever you placed the Android SDK install files. If you cant locate it, search your pc for Android SDK. Once you find the folder named Android SDK, right click in an empty space in that folder and click the paste option once you right click. Long story short, copy AndroidManifest.xml (from downloaded buzztouch folder) to the Android SDK (default loc. c:\android) MAIN/ROOT folder and your problem is solved. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE TELL ME HOW YOU FIXED YOUR .API PROBLEM!!!! I had BOTH the problems you posted, and my error's in the Console box where the same as yours. I solved the .xml file location problem but i cant figure out the api problem I just solved your problem and helped you so PLEASE help me and tell me how you fixed the .API problem PLEASE!!!!!!! P.S. - For your problem of not being able to remove your project that has errors and having to make a new one with a different name, just follow these directions, I have done this about 25 times already because I have had SO many problems with loading this APP. Buzztouch gets a 1 out of 10 on ease of install. If you go to the section in Eclipse, on the FAR LEFT, where it list's your projects, just Right-Click on your current project, Select DELETE which is about 9 options down when you Right-Click. Once you click DELETE, MAKE SURE YOU UN-CHECK DELETE PROJECT CONTENT'S ON DISK (CANT BE UNDONE) or it will delete your project AND the files from buzztouch for good. If you accidently delete your app files/folder. Just unzip the downloaded .zip file again and reload it into eclipse.

Hi Guys.. Android + Eclipse is tough for lots and lots of folks. Once you get your machine configured it will get waaaaay easier. Have you seen the video in your control panel about getting a simple sample Android app created? Be sure to watch that video so you can verify your machine is setup. Your buzztouch project that you download isn't causing any of these troubles, it's always (100% of the time) related to how your Android SDK is installed in the Eclipse environment. I'm not a windows guy so I can't really speak to the windows setup but there's probably some good articles on Google for 'setting up eclipe for Android'

so with API 4, apparently the Android SDK considers the API's as 3rd party additional downloads. What you'll have to do is start Android from the tools folder of the SDK, then go to Available Packages, and then click 3rd Party Add-ons (or the arrow next to it for the dropdown), checkmark Google Inc., then click Install Selected. Tricky part is this, on the next screen it asks you to accept the agreement to use them first. You have to click accept for EACH API, so you'll have to click each one and click accept, then proceed with the install. I'll try what you said and hopefully it works

Worked! Everything finally works! You guys are awesome. Now the only thing left is that my phone now won't do debugging mode.... >:| I know how debugging mode works, and it's just not showing up, even though it's checked.
