Buzztouch slow?

Has anyone noticed that BuzzTouch (the website) has been extremely slow lately? I'm downloading the source code of a new project I'm working on and I'm getting about 5kb/sec when I should be getting 400kb/sec. I'm assuming that BuzzTouch is either under a DDoS attack, or simply overloaded.

Update: I'm getting about a 500-1 second ping response (which is awful). I did an IP trace and realized that BuzzTouch is hosted on GoDaddy. David, if you don't mind me asking, do you have any plans on moving BuzzTouch to another host? I've realized that GoDaddy isn't so reliable (my aunt once used it as her host). Personally, I use StableHost for hosting my website, but I also recommend HostGator. Also, is BuzzTouch hosted on shared hosting, a VPS, or a dedicated server? P.S: I don't mean to be rude in any way whatsoever, I'm only trying to help. I love BuzzTouch and would like to help improve it in any way possible.

Our server has been getting hammered since our appearance on Makeuseof.com. It's not always slow, but during peak traffic the situation you described is a possibility. There are several fixes in the works but unfortunately they will take a little time. This is just the reality of a growing website/community. We hope you'll understand and be patient with us while work to get this running smoothly again.

No problem, Parker. I host all my apps on my own hosting to ensure 100% uptime and speed. I'm actually updating my current apps to make them all 100% offline. Glad to see BuzzTouch becoming more popular day by day. It's really great to see how BuzzTouch is quickly growing.

GoDaddy is not the problem. They hold several of our servers (all of them dedicated) and provide plenty of bandwidth. The issue is our trouble keeping up with ridiculous growth. About a month ago we did a major upgrade (new machines) and have already outgrown that solution. We've begun doing the very same thing again, ugh! These dedicated boxes are at GoDaddy's facility but again, that's not the issue. There's just too much highly database intensive load to manage lately.

GoDaddy are fairly reliable when it comes to dedicated boxes, big DCs and big pipe. Your aunt no doubt had a wee cookie cutter VPS at GoDaddy Jenny21. It isn't quite apples to apples. Stablehost and their like aren't designed for large scale deployments whatsoever. With BT type setups you are looking at N+1 with failover IIS boxes, SQL clusters with witness boxes and an aspect of load balancing thrown in no doubt. Nearly Friday again!

BuzzTouch Team, you are the reason it is worth doing this! Keep the smiles on, your product rocks! Yes growing pains will come and go, but I am sure you would not have it any other way. Thanks Guys!
