Full RSS Feeds

Hi Guys, Great tool! Though is there a way to get buzztouch to show the full rss feeds instead of just a list? I may be missing something, though at the moment it is only showing links to the original posts on the blog the rss feeds are from. Cheers!

You'll need to run a conversion program to extract full content. Most rss nowadays is abbreviated so that it will force readers back to the original site. There are several good programs out there. If user this one (http://fivefilters.org/content-only) hosted on my server. They have a free option as well, and there are other free services. Just google extract full rss. Here's an example of a created full rss feed: Original: http://www.mgoblue.com/headline-rss.xml Full Feed: http://sports-trivia.info/full/makefulltextfeed.php?url=http://www.mgoblue.com/headline-rss.xml

thanks for the suggestion, though the feed I'm using does have the full content. Maybe my app isn't working properly. it shows the list of posts but when you click on the post it takes you to the website... is that supposed to happen or should it show the rest of the content from the rss like a normal rss reader?

@ mikehannon See my previous comments in the other thread about RSS. It's sounding like the RSS you're pulling in is funky. @ MGoBlue: Great idea! @ javooooo: There isn't anything to fix, this is not an 'issue' The RSS Reader screen is designed to work a certain way and works that way. It's dependent on a data-set that is formatted with item, title, description and link elements in the XML. There are thousands of implementations of 'other ways' and you're free to modify you code however you want. Thats kinda the idea, the control panel outputs your project for you and you can adjust, tweek, modify till it's exactly as you need ;-)

David - I worked out how to code it myself soon after writing the post. I really like 1.5. Keep up the fab work! Also an alternative for non coders, see my Wordpress solution in one of the other RSsS threads.
