html pages and horizontal scrolling (iOS)

In two of my apps (Amazing, Canada), the html pages scroll vertically only. In another app (Cockney), html pages can scroll any old way - I can move my finger around the screen and the text follows me in every direction. i can't see what the difference is - it's not in the html code because I copied/pasted from one app to the other and the html page that scrolled only vertically in one app went all over the place in the other app. I checked my settings and don't see where there's any difference. I've not selected anything in the prevent scrolling option in either of the apps. Any ideas? (iOS, buzztouch 1.5)

Basement, Did you check the settings under the screen's Advanced Screen Properties >> Document Behavior? Prevent All Scrolling ,Hide Vertical Scroll Bar, & Hide Horizontal Scroll Bar. So you can hide either or all scrolling methods there. Also, you can us CSS to control how you want the scrolling to be handled, if you prefer.

yeah I did - I can't see the difference in the settings for the apps that work perfectly and the one that doesn't. Scroll bars don't show in any of them, I just need to force the html to remain in place horizontally but scroll vertically - I just don't see what I did in two apps to make it work like this, but didn't do in the third! Do you know what I need to place in my CSS to stop all but vertical scrolling?

Basement, You might want to try Google. If I recall correctly, you can use something like. overflow-y: scroll; overflow-x: hidden; Thought it's been a while since I've needed to use that, I think that's it.

If it's the same device, with the same HTML, and the same settings, something isn't adding up. I'de bet 100% that something in the HTML has a width or padding or margin that is creating content wider than 320
