Seeking advice for this mobile app idea!!

I'm a beginner in the mobile app development but VERY eager to learn! My boss wants a mobile app that shows the air quality of certain regions and color coding pertaining to what type of day it is as the primary function of the app. We will also be including our own information to it gearing it to toward our customers and whatnot. A good idea about what im talking about is the mobile app Air Quality by AppFulcrum. The have the color coding structure down, very simple and to the point. I know they get the information from airnow.gov. I am assuming by their RSS feeds. My question is, how can i build and create this type of app that incorporates the color coding and daily information. I am very eager to learn and if someone can point me in the right direction I'm there! Thank you ahead of time for you're help and suggestions!!

Currently, the only version of BuzzTouch available for the Android Platform is 1.4 and it is limited, unless you know coding well. Version 1.5 have much more features but will not roll out for a bit longer. Maybe end of the month, maybe later or earlier. I'm not sure how to do what you want without a lot of java or other scripting to translate each result into the format you want.
