App Wont Compile, Errors in Eclipse!

Can anyone assist me with this problem, i get this error message every time i load eclipse: [2011-06-13 20:17:02 - com.android.ide.eclipse.adt.internal.project.AndroidManifestHelper] Unable to read C:\Users\Bungholio\Desktop\RCS App & SDK Tools\android-sdk-windows\AndroidManifest.xml: java.io.FileNotFoundException: C:\Users\Bungholio\Desktop\RCS App & SDK Tools\android-sdk-windows\AndroidManifest.xml (The system cannot find the file specified) I can import my Buzztouch app but it says it has errors and cannot be compiled? The errors relate to Screen_LocationMap.java and Obj_MapLocation.java, it reports over 100 errors and says things like Description Resource Path Location Type Overlay cannot be resolved to a type Screen_LocationMap.java /Act_Home/src/com/v1_4/B8DC4C6D3115B8B6CC927E80/com line 370 Java Problem Description Resource Path Location Type The constructor AlertDialog.Builder(Screen_LocationMap) is undefined Screen_LocationMap.java /Act_Home/src/com/v1_4/B8DC4C6D3115B8B6CC927E80/com line 522 Java Problem any idea why this is happening, i followed all the instructions and installed all the files, Android SDK, Java SDK & eclipse. i did the updates and installed all the android API's and SDK tools? Help! Thanks.

Hi. You are not alone, Eclipse is tough to setup sometimes. I can assure you that the troubles you are having are common and that they are not related your application. The code you downloaded from your control panel is not the issue. The issue is your Eclipse + Android SDK configuration, it's not quite right. If you can't get it working after watching the Android related videos in your contorl panel, enter 'Eclipse' (do not enter quotes) in the forum search box. You'll see lots of discussions about getting the SDK worked out. Stick with it, it'll make sense soon ;-)

Are you saying 'scripted' as in I didn't help you? I don't understand.

Got it. No worries. I copy and paste constantly! Funny. The Android Won't compile issue is the most common Android question and we really have not figured out an easy way to answer it. We've tried videos, long explanations, links to Android SDK / Google info and other ideas. It's hard, it just is. I think the biggest challenge is all the different ways a machine may be configured. The marriage between Eclipse and the Android SDK seems easy enough to understand but literally hundreds of folks (like me originally and you today) spend hours and hours getting Eclipse going. Geezzz, you would think it would 'just work' argh.. Maybe see if you can get a simple test Android app going before worrying too much about your buzztouch app. This does seem to be the best approach...In eclipse... New > Android App > Google 1.6 API's. If this works, you're all set. Cheers.

I got my App working but i had to delete Screen_LocationMap.java and a few other bits, its working fine now because i dont use the location map part of the buzztouch app but i would like to have the whole thing compile without errors. Ill keep trying.

Ah... I see. If you look at the README.txt it mentions some info about the map stuff. If you removed the Screen_LocationMap.java file it should just be a matter of finding where that file is includes / referenced. It should only be in a few places. Act_Base and Act_Home are likely places. Glad you go it going.

Thanks, it looks pretty slick actually, is there any way to increase the quality of the image on the main screen, it seems pretty low quality? Also, i noticed the web page load times can be slow, is the app hosted on your servers and routed through there to load web pages?
