Oh yeah that would be cool if we could have a place for users to post how many times theirs apps have been downloaded.

Also it would be nice to get some tips/tricks to get people to download a app. Facebook? Twitter? Blogs? Pressreleases? Maybe a dummy for getting your app noticed?

My app is in the top 150 social networking on iPhone/iPod Touch and top 75 on iPad. That may be the highest.

It's called Hilarious FaceBook Status Updates It took me less than two hours to make. I just wanted to see how much iAd makes, and if its worth using. Its been in the App Store for less than two weeks (A little over a week) and has made a total of $35 from ads. Also, please do not copy my ideas :). I got an updated version coming out soon. REMEMBER: It's crappy.

This is an interesting question, and it's similiar to asking 'what is the busiest website powered by Word Press' - tough to answer. I like @Parker's idea, allow app owners to publish info about their apps performance on the site. Giving app owners control over what is and isn't published seems appropriate.

Sometimes, they take a while to appear. I can assure you that there is ads, though.

Ads are enabled in BuzzTouch's control panel. I don't see why they don't work; I've earned some revenue today from ads.

iAds are super-duper complicated on Apple's end. The way I understand it is that there are lots of things that determine if a particular user sees an Ad or not. It's entirely possible that some users will see ads while other will not. Location, date, time, other hidden things related to their advertising algorithm control this. I'm thinking Apple has mostly failed in this early attempt (by them) to get in the ad business. It seems like the least they could do is have enough inventory (or even pretend inventory) to serve up ads on a consistent basis. They don't. Lots of apps with iAds enabled show NO ads while others show endless ads. Makes no sense. It'll get better when we get the other advertisers supported.
