So, I don't have fix figured out yet but I was able to duplicate what you described and was able to track down the problem. The behavior does not happen (the title works fine) if the previous screen does not have iAds enabled. In other words, removing iAds from My Home Screen Menu fixes the title not showing problem. I'm not sure why yet but the symptom if 100% related to the iAds framework. I havn't been able to figure it out because iAds is a bit mysterious and Apple doesn't allow us to see how it's working (in a literal sense). I'll keep at it an post a solution if I find one. In the meantime, you'll need to either use a different transition or not use iAds on the menu.
