Total PDF size?

im trying to upload some PDF files, and can't seem to get any to upload. Is there a maxium size? is it for one file, or in total? Im trying to make an app for some manuals (just for me).

Hi.... if you're using buzztouch v1.4 the max size for an upload is 8mb. Some users have had some trouble uploading files smaller than this and some have had no trouble uploading larger than this. It's a random issue we've never nailed down. If you have large PDF's, can you plop them on your website the use a Custom URL screen to 'point' to them? May be easier. If you don't have a website, how large are the files?

Thanks. In total the manuals are over 8mb. Is there anything i can do to get around this? perhaps changing to a different format?

Not sure how to reduce the file size in PDF's. Can you create multiple page documents? We could easily get the PDF on the server for you but I fear that this won't solve anything. If you have really really large documents the phones will struggle to download them anyway. Generally speaking, heavy, long, large PDF's are a bad idea in the mobile space. If you can't create several pages of content...send us the PDF as an attachment: info 'at' buzztouch.com and include the app name in your email. We'll get a look and see if we can make come up with a different strategy for you.
