You NO LONGER need to register as an iOS Developer (the $99 / yr.) in order to install your projects on devices you own. Previously it was required that you become part of the Apple Developer Program before you could do anything other than run on a simulator. You can now plugin in your device, run your project in Xcode, and install on your phone - without paying Apple a dime. Hmmm, of course this opens up the creativity flow. Side-loaded BT App Store anyone. Ha. Apple's been "tough on me" for years and years (dont' ask me why in this post) and it sure seems tempting. Sounds like a good way to let people try before you buy, as it allows you try out making an app on a real device then to publish; it's a good stepping stone.
