They are indeed positive values in Japan, but I think if you add the +, it'll cause the error. It should handle a - for locations where appropriate, but otherwise assumes it's a positive value. Wonder if iOS maps are doing something weird - I heard their Japan mapping data isn't up to speed yet... But it's odd that it's not working...it's a simple latitude/longitude pair. That should be easy enough to plot on a map. Have you tried any positive/positive pairs outside of Japan as a test? I'll freak out if we spend forever trying to find something iOS broke. LOL. Will post here after @AppOneBeta and we get it sleuthed out.
