Why App icon on the iphone is of poor quality?

It is very disappointing to see the icons on the iphone of low resolution when adding them via buzztouch. Is there any way to fix this issue? I just want to have the icons of my built App of same quality as the SETTINGS icon on the iphone. Help!!!

you can replace the icons after you have download the source code in the BT_Images folder : Icon_57.png Icon_72.png and Icon_114.png

Zeeyad, Aussiedra is correct. The issue is that BT takes the uploaded icon image and stretched it for the iPhone4. You most likely are running that device, or when your icons were saved, they were saved for the web @ 72 dpi. You need to have the images as so, to ensure the best quality. 57 x 57 @ 132 dpi save as Icon_57.png 72 x 72 @ 132 dpi save as Icon_72.png 114 x 114 @ 326 dpi save as Icon_114.png Consult these Apple guidelines, as you will also need to have larger images for the Apple Store. http://developer.apple.com/library/ios/#documentation/userexperience/conceptual/mobilehig/IconsImages/IconsImages.html Also, saw your other post about you code signing error. If you have Skype, look for me and I will try and help you walk through it if I have a chance. Skype is the same as my forum name.

Icons: The issue behind the icon-uploader-control-panel thingee is this. The images you upload are .jpg, not .png. Apple and iOS need .png images (for several reasons). The purpose of the icon uploader online to is set your icon for the control panel and some other online places. Sure, the download includes it with your software but it's for sure a good idea to replace it with a smaller version of what you're using as the App Store artwork anyway. More Apple recommendations. App Store Arwork (Large Icon is what Apple calls it): 512 x 512 Smaller Icons: Lots of sizes (like erichopf mentioned) depend on the targeted device.

Try this. Axialis IconWorkshop™ this is what I use to make all my icons, it works great. Has presets for Iphone icons.

Read the posts - I have problems with my images but I see from above that a dpi has been specified. I'll try that when doing my images for icon etc My problem was that a 72 x 72 was impossible to see - but I figured my dpi was too big -
