Can you load a vid to your app rather than streaming?

I see where you can point to a Youtube Video and play it back on your app but is there the functionality to load a video file, like MP4, to your app and then let the user play it back? This would provide for more private videos rather than putting them on youtube in the public eye. Les

You can make the video's unlisted on YouTube, but in order to insert the video into the App, you need to be an Early Adopter and make an app that is version 1.5. Version 1.4 does not support this out without changing a bit of code. Keep in mind that more then a few properly formatted and compressed videos will make your app huge for download. That is why some feel a better solution is sometimes to host the videos on your own site and stream from there.

I can definatley see an advantage of showing video from Youtube but there are also some times where you might want your own vid. I just received the Early adopter status and was able to see all the enhanced options. I love the flexibility. Can you tell me what screen type you would use to load your own video? I only see You Tube and Streaming on the screen selection. Also is there anywhere it tells you what video formats are acceptable. I am trying to duplicate an app I created with another tool that had very limited video features. Thanks for the help

It's fairly simple. Use the streaming screen, but use the file name instead of the URL. Remember to put the video in the proper location after you compile the app when you're ready to test it out.
