Error on Android First Launch

First of all, thanks for this wonderful service. I was able to build an app, compile it, and publish it to the Android Market in only one day! See https://market.android.com/details?id=com.v1_4.B42DFB0FE8850096982AB2C9.com My app had no errors in the Android Simulator. When I install my app on a Xoom and launch it for the first time, the following error displays: Data Format Error There was a problem reading data associated with this app. However, the app runs as expected and does not display errors on subsequent launches. Any ideas on how to eliminate that launch error? Thanks, Terry

Hi in Chicago - major Cubs beat down on the Cards last night - cool. The problem you describe could be a few things. It's related to the data is needs before it can launch. It should not show this error when it first launches and instead 'go fetch' the data from your control panel. Literally thousands of these things work well on tons of different android devices. We have not heard much about the Xoom - I wonder if there's something different about it? If it has an internet connection it should be fine? Maybe see what it does on a few different devices and re-post? Lastly...thanks for the kind words, glad you got an app going in a day.

Same issue. App was working fine on andriods, but not anymore.

@ scottfits: Not sure I understand you post. Does this mean you app is no longer working or does it mean that it needs to Refresh it's data when launching it the very first time after installing it? Your app > Home Scree > Menu Button > Refresh

@David I was borrowing a Motorola Xoom to test on and just got an Android phone today. The Data Format Error that occurs on the Xoom's initial app launch does not occur when using an HTC Desire Android phone. I agree with you that the one-time error could be a feature unique to the Xoom. Just as an FYI - the initial launch error occurred with both a Xoom using WiFi and a different Xoom using Verizon. Thanks again for this awesome service! Go Cubs!!

Woooo hooo, thanks for the post. Sounds like I better go buy a Xoom and see what's up with it ;-) Cubs: Sorry about the weekend... huge Sox fans! It was nice to have the cubbies at Fenway. Split series..not-too-shabby.
