E-mail a Image

Hi, Just a quick question... When e-mailing a photo that includes a caption, will the caption be included in the body of the message? By the way, THANKS FOR THE CAPTION FEATURE IN THE CONTROL PANEL! IT HELPS SO MUCH!

Ah... didn't consider that. No, the image is added as an attachment but the title / caption is not added to the message. I can't remember how technical you are. I ask because you can adjust a few things to make this possible if you want. Nerdy stuff but doable. The adjustments would be in the Xcode project. I've added this idea to the list of future things to support but you'll need to do this yourself today (if you want). Nudge this post if you want some assistnance with this, or, wait for the next release (releases are a few weeks apart) and it will magically appear ;-)

I don't have a lot of obj-c background, how much editing would need to be done?

You would be editing a few files. Here's the idea. When your browsing a gallery and click to email the image, you are on the Image Gallery screen. But, when the email compose sheet opens, you have transitioned to a different screen. During this transition, the software 'passes' the image to the next screen so it knows what image to include in the email. The image's caption is NOT being passed to the email compose sheet which is why it's not super-simple to include it in the message. The adjustment would involve modifying a few files to help the first screen pass more data to the second screen. Again, nerdy stuff for geeks like us. The actual adjustments are not difficult, not at all really but it is source-code and the idea of changing source code in any fashion at all freaks some folks out! Funny.

OK, project updated. Re-download, re-compile to support Image Title's being added as the subject line when sending images from a gallery. I cannot actually core and apple but it can tie the apple's stem into a knot with it's Objective-C tongue.
