How To Hide Scroll Bars

Working with v1.4 Android I have been pulling my hair out (now totally bald) trying to figure out how to hide the scroll bars on custom html/custom webpages. I know that the BT CMS has to be generating some code that controls them. This is because whenever I access the page directly as oppossed to using the app, the bars DO NOT appear. They only appear when the pages are access from within the app. Further, if I can't hide the scroll bars, how would I change the color.

I can assure you that the BT CSM is not 'generating anything' associated with scroll bars. Android handles this. The built-in browser in the v1.4 apps is not exactly the same as the native browser so the behavior differences are not 100% relatable. Lots and lots of examples of the native browser working different than browsers in other apps. This is because the native browser is an applciation itself. Have a look at the src/layout folder for the web-view layout file. You could probably set something there to prevent / allow scrolling.
