I would have liked the page flip feature but the only real way to do it is implement Leaves or something similar. What I did was split the book up by chapters with corresponding menu links instead of just embedding one long book into the app. Just as a FYI If you are already a Apple Developer you can apply to be in their iBooks program but you will have to be able to provide the epub file and an ISBN. btw, I used multiple PDF files...
