iOS map and location functionality changes coming soon?

I have recently seen a number of stories related to iOS 5 crash report featuring MKUserLocationBreadCrumb. A crash report received by iOS developer FutureTap reveals that Apple is currently field testing the next major release of its iOS firmware using third-party applications from the App Store. MKUserLocation is part of the iOS MapKit Framework, which is used to find your device’s current location; while the “BreadCrumb” element is said to indicate a new tracking feature. iOS 5 may be introduced at WWDC in June. I have a few geocation based apps and there are likely thousands of other buzztouch users who also use mapping feature. Anyone have any more info on the new tracking feature and if this could require changes to all location based apps? Thanks.

zero insights on this on our end. However... Apple's made a few changes to the Map Kit over the years and none seemed to 'break' existing apps in the market. If somethign needs to change, we'll get release out so buzztouch folks can easily update their published apps.

Thanks David! Your support has always been great! I think Apple may soon start to move away from using Google Maps.
