app UPDATE rejected?!?

So I sent an update of my app to the iTunes store about a week ago and was just notified it was rejected. Their main reason I think was that in the meta description I put something to the effect of still in beta testing, give feedback which is apparently against their rules. However, I had TWO updates last month saying the same thing that were approved without a hitch. I removed that statement from the description and sent a message to the review committee. Hopefully it will be accepted then. If not, do you think if I just deleted the update binary and resubmit it I may just get someone else on a good day and have it approved? How can they really stop accepting UPDATES??

It's not an issue of them not accepting updates, it's an issue of them re-evaluating the usefullness of your applicaiton each time you submit it. Lots and lots of horror stories of apps being in the market for a long time then rejected later for some unknown reason. Best advice: Follow the recommendations in the rejection you get...why it was rejected is usually not mysterious. They generally tell you why.

I just removed the statement about the app still being in testing phase and it was accepted later that day. Whew!
