I have an online radio show, have both a shoutcast and an icecast server (I offer stream hosting), can broadcast in either for my shows, question is which stream is better to broadcast to so that it can be heard live in both Apple AND Android? instead of streaming in shoutcast and mounting in icecast (which I can't figure out how to do it - read the posts but still lost) can't I just broadcast LIVE to icecast instead of shoutcast and have both platforms Apple AND Android to pick it up? My app is in buzz 1.4 at the moment - don't have apple for testing for 1.5 :( I know shoutcast lists in directory and icecast really doesn't - I've had the stream playing with auto DJ for a year now to rebroadcast my shows and most of my listeners are from my followers from Blog Talk Radio (leaving them for my own network - not worth the $250 a month I'm paying) people will follow, they already are :) so being listed in the shoutcast directory doesn't matter that much

I really wish we knew more about Shoutcast, Icecast and all the others we hear about. We know almost nothing about this. There are a few posts about this and it looks like some folks have figured it out. We havn't spent anytime ourselves trying to re-engineer how these services work so we can't be of much help. However... we are eager like you to find a solution that works on both devices without much super-nerdy-understanding! lol.
