Low picture quality?

It seems that the quality of my icon and the image in my app seems dull. I'm using Photoshop and it looks perfectly fine when I open the picture using preview (Mac), but after uploading to BuzzTouch it's blurry. Anyone else seem to have this problem? Is there something in Photoshop that I'm missing? Thank You!

Is the image for Android (1.4) or iOS? For iOS apps, you'll want to resize the image for Apples requirement and replace the png files that BuzzTouch puts in the BT-Images file.

Yes its iOS. I can change the icon in xcode, but what about the image on the app? (not the icon, the App Image)

Sorry, not following. App image? Do you mean the splash screen or the launch image, or another image? What is the image size dimensions in pixels and dpi? (Use Apple, Shift and 4 to take a screen shot of the image size and please post a link to the screen capture if it is easier for you) What device are you loading it on to, or is the fuzzy photo you see in Xcode or Simulator?

The image is 320x150, 326 DPI. Created in Photoshop CS5. The image looks perfect displayed on my MacBook's screen, amazing quality. But as soon as I upload it, it becomes awful. It's awful not only on the app image page (The preview) but also on my iPhone 4. It's just not clear like it should be. I'm talking about the App Image, which you can edit in 1.4's control panel under Change this app's image.

Well, I had to go back and look at 1.4, as I haven't been making anything on that in months. You should become an early adopter, as the options are more plentiful and you can use an app image or do it without. The iPhone 4 has a much higher Rez display. The 320x150 @ 326 DPI iPhone 3GS equal for the iPhone 4's display is 640x300 @ 326 DPI. You see, the image is too small for the iPhone 4 and it ends up being stretched to fit, hence the low quality.
