Okay I have a mac but no iphone or ipad. Do I have to have a device iphone to publish? Such as getting keys and all when setting up the dev account?

No, you can just use the simulator. But I'm certain most wouldn't recommend it. You should at least have some friends that you can send test builds to and have them beta test them for you prior to store submission. There's a good site to help with that too at testflightapp.com

I second that, half the time I found that testing on my Device and Simulator often brought up differences. Would reccomend 100% you get a device to test on.
