Is there any way to backup content?

Is there any way to download and backup an app's content? I can, of course, save the binary code in the Xcode project, and anything I put there, but since it's easier (to do and to update) custom HTML content screens, I'm just curious if there is any way to download and backup the content - say as a zip file?

Not today. We've been working on this but havn't completed it. It is for sure on our list. The download a back-up will deliver a zip. Becase we are really working hard to make it easy to disconnect your app from our servers (this makes sense for lots of reasons for lots of app owners) we are also trying to work out a way to allow you to download a folder to place on YOUR website that powers your app. This folder would contain some content files (like the content files) and some PHP code that would work as a proxy between your site and the buzztouch backend. It would go something like this: a) You create an app and get it running on the sim / testing device. b) You download a folder of files and place them on your site (your site must be PHP enabled, most are). c) You enter a dataURL in the core-properties of your app that points to YOUR website where you put the folder you downloaded. d) Some magic code in the folder you placed on your site would communicate with your app and the buzztouch server. This approach would allow you to continue making changes on the buzztouch control panel while at the same time it would keep a backup of your changes on your site automagically. The mobile app would communicate directly with your site and not the buzztouch backend. This is important for a few reasons. Example: buzztouch goes away - very very VERY unlikely but always possible. I could talk about this for hours... but yeah... we're working on it ;-)
