RSS issue for Android app

Needing some help with RSS feed. Our school websites have RSS feeds. They work in Google reader but when I place the feed Url in the app it loads it, the look and everything of a feed, but then you click on any story it takes you right back to the full website that takes forever to load. Please help, this problem is a deal-breaker. Gracias, as always

Hi... RSS feeds are a tough thing to get you're head around if you're not super-duper familiar with how they work. Do this... load the URL in Firefox (not Safari or Explorer) then 'view source' so you can see literally the plain-text data that is being provided by the feed. What is the story URL? The RSS reader looks for this to determine what story to load. It's probably in an XML element named 'link' If you can't figure it out... no worries. Paste the URL here and we'll get a look.

David, This is the feed that I am having trouble with. http://mcallenisd.schoolfusion.us/modules/cms/announceRss.phtml This is a tough one for me and I have spent too many hours trying to resolve the problem of my news feeds going directly to the entire webpage. Let me know if you have any luck. d

OK, I looked at the feed. Every single story 'points' to the same URL: http://mcallenisd.schoolfusion.us/modules/cms/announce.phtml THis means tapping any link will load that file. That file is HUGE. It has animations, Flash, galleries, etc. It no wonder it takes forever to load, it's a web-page that isn't designed for mobile. Not sure how else to advise. None of the screens in buzztouch auto-magically resize or reformat content, this is the responsibility of the person managing the content. Can you re-create a mobilzed version of this? Can their webmaster? You'll need to lighten up the load a bit before loading it on the phone or it will always be a bogus experience.
