question about usage map

When I look at the usage map for my app, is that everyone over the past couple days or is it just the last x number of visitors? I'm just trying to get an idea of how often my app is being used and where. I know you mentioned in a previous post that there may be further analytic capabilities down the road but it would be great to have more control over our usage map... such as showing just the last 24 hours or just the last 50 or 100 visitors. Many of the pins on my map are from a week ago so still cool to see but not as helpful. Thanks as always, happy easter, and can't wait to see what changes you've made to the control panel when I wake up tomorrow morning! Josh

Couldn't agree more. More map magic, stats, and other analyics are super important. We'll get there, we'll soooooo get there.

David what is the latest news about usage map functionality? For instance how often is it updated? Are you planning more stats? Thanks.

Still wondering the same thing here. It would be great to even just have more control over which users show up. I have hits on my map from over ten days ago... would be nice to have option to see just past 24 hours or last 100 visitors, etc.

Not much news here. We are for sure trying to work on a long term plan because the map-data is one of the most 'expensive' things we do. There are literally millions and millions of rows of data associated with usage, maps, stats, etc. Storing all this is costly in term of dollars, querying it is costly in terms of processor times. Sluggish queries assoicated with 'neat stats' are a huge performance hit on our equipment and it's a balancing act to keep it all running smooth. So... not sure where it's headed but it's logical that map stuff, stats, analytics and other goodies will be moved to some sort of paid service so we can offer a professional experience for those interested and a limited experience for those that don't care much about it.
