I tried downloading xcode and it worked. although my computer says it cannot find or unzip any folders. Do i need a mac or some sort of apple computer to start running all of this smoothly? It certainly will not run smoothly (if at all?) on a PC. If you want to make an iPhone/iPad app and eventually put it on your own device or submit to the iTunes store you absolutely need a mac, no way around it. Lots of info here and on google about this. Then you canmake and publish iOS apps!
