need help adding to my app and publishing! New and having troubles with eclipse and editing the basic app i've created!

Im a web designer who is apparently retarded when it comes to app developement and could use some help! I've built a pretty basic app based on a pet protection and adoption website I own, but i want to add some features such as the ability to list their pets location with a map marker, post their found missing or adoptable without an email to me.... Also, i've downloaded sdk, eclipse, and the programs I was promted to install. I thought it was working, however if Eclipse gets closed...it dissapears! I dont know what i'm doing...so any advice from the more cultered developers would be masively appreciated!!

Hi in Cali.... Everybody starts at square one so no worries being stuck or confused about the Eclipse thing. I'm scratching my head a bit after reading your question. Are you unsure how Eclipse works? What it's for? Are you unsure about how to change content in your app? Use your buzztouch control panel to make content changes in your app. Use Eclipse to compile the downloaded project and install it on a device or to upload it to the App Market. You can continue to make content changes in your buzztouch control panel after you compile and install - that's the whole idea ;-)

Thanks! I'm sure most of my problem is coming from not knowing eclipse...I have gotten it installed with sdk however, I cant get the sdk manager to install available packages keep getting an access denied error. Because of this (i think), when I try to open a new android project, there are no platforms to select from. So i've created a buzztouch app...I just need to get eclipse working properly and get it transfered I guess. That's where my problem is coming in. Any idea?

Ok... sounds like you're on the right track and giving yourself far less credit than you deserve - not retarded!!! So...there are a few discussions...here's a good one: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2749210/unzip-failed-access-is-denied-error-while-adding-android-sdk-components-to-ec about a possible solution to the access denied issue. I'm assuming you're on Windows? Because there are no platforms to select form you are for sure on the right track. Eclipse's built in 'install softare' manager thing usually does a great job walking you through the process. See if that link helps...else...re-post and we'll keep digging.
