Status Bar is not being hidden.

I have turned on the hidden status bar option in themes and it provides no change. Anyone have a suggestion? I tried to alter it in the BT_info.plist file also as if it were a normally developed app, but that did not correct the issue either.

a) Check to make sure the Advanced Settings for the screen in question does not have this overriden. b) If it doesn't, something's wrong. New bug? Kindly post the app name and the screen name. Can't be that tough to find.

David, apparently after the hide the status bar option was introduced, the previous created pages all went to the default option instead of --select--. I sorted it out with your nudge to check the simplest solution but the only issue remaining is the status bar is hidden for everything but video. Loss of conformity when the screens all look the same, save videos with a status bar is not optimal. Can we have the option to hide them on the video pages? I have the videos in app, so not knowing the network status is a non-issue.

I just looked at this again and see what you mean. The status-bar settings seem to be ignored when videos start playing using the native iOS video player. I spent sometime tryging to figure out a solution but wasn't able to. I'm having trouble controlling the native players behavior. It looks like the solution will be a complicated mix of several view-controller properties. I've added it to the list of to-do's but don't expect to have a solution figured out soon. In the meantime, you could explore the code that launches the video player if you want. If you're motivated, have a look at BT_viewControllerManager.m, around line 293. This file is in the BT_Layout directory. The code looks at a few variables to figure out if the video file is local or at remote at a URL, then launches the native player (the player is different for older devices). You could try experiementing by adding this: [[UIApplication sharedApplication] setStatusBarHidden:FALSE animated:FALSE]; and / or this: [theNavController setWantsFullScreenLayout:YES]; seems likely that these two method calls would go right above this line: [theNavController presentModalViewController:moviePlayerController animated:YES]; but again, couldn't get consistent behavior. Lastly...thanks TONS AND TONS for all the help you've offered up in the forums recently, it's not unnoticed.

Thanks David, I tried the aforementioned but need to sit down when I am not working my other job (stay at home dad of an infant) so I can focus, understand what is happening and tweak the settings. Will let you know what results I come up with. Don't meant to add on anymore tweaks to the ever growing pile for 1.5. But, while we are on the subject of status bars, as I was trying to sort this out, it seems a related issue is occurring also. In one of my apps, Ref. Project- Test Portfolio (for Ipad only), the status bar pops up after tapping once on the image and twice to zoom, another tap and then it hides. Not a terrible thing but would be great if it could be made to hide completely. I enjoy helping others out. The side benefit is that it frees you up a little from answering the simple or previous asked questions so you can develop. IMO, a much better use of your time, but I know you love helping those in the forum also.
