It's common to use PHP on a web-server to output HTML and other data formatted for the device but this happens server-side, not in the device itself. Use a Custom URL screen to point to your dynamic HTML page. This is a great way to get super-duper creative. You can even have the device variables appended to your URL so the PHP can output specialized content based on the device type, location, etc. Comments You have the right idea.
